Restoration Work Moves Ahead!! It's true! It's
true! It's finally happening. The restoration work has begun. Thanks
to Josh Mullady, Elliot Garfield, Scott Motto, Brad Tigges and Tim
Kinnaird for helping prepare the stage for the renovation work. Conlon
Construction Company is the project manager for both of these jobs.
Beck Studios from Milford, Ohio will install the fly space rigging.
When you return to the Grand for the production of "Forever Plaid'
be sure to check out our new restrooms and enjoy the use of the fly
space area above the stage. The completed fly space will cost just
under $500,000, while the restroom area will cost just under $400,000.
Most of the funding is being issued from Vision Iowa and Save Americas
Treasures. Your contribution to the Capital campaign of the Grand
Opera House Foundation will help with the restoration efforts. For
