Winter 2005

Memories of a Non-Jewish Childhood- is a hilarious and tuneful retelling of an especially eventful day in the life of a not-so-innocent eight grader of St. James the Lesser Catholic School during the 1940’s. Based on the best-selling book by Robert Byrne, the musical, set in Dubuque, captures the comical and confusing world of Tommy Shannon as he tries to learn about life and love while struggling with puberty, strict nuns, troublemaking friends—and, of course---girls. It’s non-stop fun.
