Joleen
Schultz - Costume Designer
Joleen
formerly taught clothing construction at Dubuque Senior High
and Adult-Ed Sewing Classes for NICC and Northwest Fabrics.
She currently has a home-based custom design business. Joleen
designs and makes the costumes for Dubuque Senior High School's
Madrigal Dinner and designed the costumes for Fly-By-Night's
production of A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum.
Her goal is to set up a costume shop at the Grand so that
costume volunteers are able to be a part of the production
community. Joleen is a very welcome addition to our Grand
family.
Joleen
has been busily working to outfit the cast of Oliver!
in the very best period costumes. She is creating all of the
costumes for this summer's show instead of renting some from
other theaters. She works out of the newly established costumeshop
on the third floor of the Grand Opera House.
Check
out some of the photos below of Joleen's extensive research
and costume work. The Grand is lucky to have such a talented
costumer!
