F. Hunter
Fuerste: Hunter
leads a varied life alternating between music and medicine. He
has served as music director for Grand Opera House theater productions
of Showboat, The Music Man, Pajama Game, Annie, and The
King and I. Prior to attending medical school, he studied
music at North Texas State University and toured with Guy Lombardo
and His Royal Canadians in 1977. He was featured soloist at the
Dubuque Symphony Orchestra at their 1989 pops concert. His Dubuque
Brass Christmas Concerts sell out yearly and help raise money
for the Grand Opera House. "Swing Out the Big Band Show"
has also been an annual favorite concert at the theater. A local
ophthalmologist, he is active in medicine and is currently President
of the Iowa Academy of Ophthalmology. Hunter is a member of both
the Grand Theater Board of Directors and Foundation Board. This
year he was honored with the Telegraph Herald First Citizen Award.
Richard
Hall: Rich's
love for the theater began back at Dubuque Senior High School.
Thanks go to Fran Hedeman and Dan Nye for their support. Rich
went on to study theater at the University of Northern Iowa. His
first Grand Experience dates back to the very beginning when he
was in the production of A Street Called Sesame. Rich sang
a rare solo in that show called, "Everybody Wash". Over
the years, Rich has appeared in 22 shows and directed 10. By day,
Rich is the new Theater Manager here at the Grand Opera House.
Before becoming Manager, Rich was Director of Development and
Marketing and Tour Group Director for five years. Most recently,
Rich played the silent King Sextimus in Once Upon a Mattress,
and directed West Side Story at Dubuque Senior High School.
The next project will be as director of Oliver! Rich wants to
thank his wife Marel and their kids for all of their support.
Thanks also goes to Sue Riedel for starting the BCT Players, now
known as the Grand Opera House, and to you the audience, for supporting
us through all these years.

Cathy Breitbach:
Cathy
began at the Grand Opera House in 1988 when she choreographed
Gypsy. When she finishes Oliver! this summer, she
will have worked on nineteen shows -- 42nd Street, Showboat,
Hello Dolly, The Music Man, and Annie to name a few.
Besides working with dance numbers, Cathy enjoys helping with
costuming and make-up. Cathy and her husband Bob own Carpet One/Carpet
Shack, where she works as an Interior Designer. Her spare time
is spent with their six children and grandson, designing weddings,
and dancing in Hunter Fuerste's Vintage Orchestra show.
Catherine
A. Goodman: Cathy's
love affair with the Grand started in 1990, when she appeared
in her first Grand production as Chiffon in Little Shop of
Horrors. Since then, Cathy has appeared in 17 Grand productions
and has served as a stage manager, house manager, usher, make-up
assistant, or helped with costumes for countless other productions.
Cathy's favorite Grand roles include Miss Hannigan in Annie,
Bonnie in Anything Goes, Rose in Bleacher Bums,
Kate in Other People's Money, and Evalita Turnover in Daddy's
Dyin, Who's Got the Will. In 1992, Cathy took over the role
of Window Display Chair and provided 3-D graphic displays for
over 60 shows before the advent of economically feasible, oversized
sign output devices used for the posters to promote upcoming shows
today. In 1996, Cathy wrote and co-directed the Grand's 25th Anniversary
Show. She currently serves on the Production Board and the publicity
and play reading committees. Cathy also designs the playbills,
season brochures, and other miscellaneous marketing materials
for the Grand. Most recently, she designed the logo for the Grand's
Foundation Board. Cathy is thankful for the many memories and
friendships the Grand has provided and looks forward to future
Grand productions, both on stage and off. Cathy is co-owner of
Big Fish Creative, an agency that provides creative solutions
for the marketing and advertising needs of the more sophisticated
sector. She is also a member of the Loras Players' Hall of Fame.
