Dear Patrons,

The Grand Opera House takes the health and safety of our audience, performers, technicians, volunteers, and staff very seriously. Given the recent recommendations of the Iowa Department of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control’s regarding community gatherings, the Grand and the Heartland Ballet have made the difficult decision to postpone the Spring Ballet Coppélia originally scheduled for March 28th & 29th, and April 4th & 5th.

We feel that it is of the utmost importance that we do our part to protect our community from the potential spread of COVID-19. This means working closely with our performance partners and making tough decisions. This is an unprecedented time for us, and we appreciate your patience as we continue to work together to find a time in both organizations’ schedules to present this performance.

Tickets to the original dates will be honored once new dates are selected. When we have information about rescheduled dates we will contact current ticket holders with performance and ticket information.

As we navigate these fluid circumstances, we ask that you remember that the Grand Opera House is a Non-Profit organization with a small staff of dedicated employees who are also navigating the dramatic personal and professional challenges we all face. We remain dedicated to providing quality entertainment to our community. When it is determined by the health professionals at the IDPH and CDC that the risk is behind us, the Grand Opera House will still be here as your community theater.

Thank you,

Frank McClain
